Packaging Assistant
Full-Time Hourly Position

We’re looking for someone to join our ragtag packaging team. If you like filling containers with beer then this is the job for you. We want someone who is interested in helping us grow while constantly innovating and improving our packaging processes. This position reports to the Packaging Manager.

What we are looking for:
1 to 2 years of packaging experience is preferred but not necessary.
High mechanical aptitude with an extremely high level of attention to detail.
Ability to multitask while not screwing things up.
Enjoys Yacht Rock.
Positive attitude.
Dependable and punctual.
Specific responsibilities with respect to packaging:
- Keg cleaning and filling, can labeling and off packing.
- Visually inspect cans on the packaging line to ensure quality.
- Assist with filling orders from distributors.
- Weekly cleaning and maintenance of packaging equipment.
- Operate machinery following all safety guidelines in an efficient manner.
- Keep the packaging areas and workspaces clean and organized before/during/after operations.
- Learn, understand and execute packaging standard operating procedures according to standard operating procedures.
- Work as member of the team to implement continual improvement in packaging quality
- and output.
- Assist with weekly inventory counting of all packaging materials.
- Assist with miscellaneous warehouse duties.
- Ability to work production shifts as needed.
- Safe use of forklift to move packaging products around the warehouse and to offload deliveries as required.
- Willingness to help out with other tasks as needed and assigned.
Required Work Schedule:
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- 5 shifts per week, generally Monday to Friday.
- Must be available to work shift time of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Specific responsibilities with respect to general assistance for the packaging assistant are:
- Stay up to date and knowledgeable on all company products and trends.
- Miscellaneous production activities as directed by management.
- Must have a valid Texas drivers license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain fork lift certification.

Specific Physical Demands Required:
- Requires the use and wear of personal protective equipment (PPE) including non-slip shoes, gloves as needed.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pulling, pushing, grasping for long periods of time.
- The ability to work in loud, wet, cold, hot, indoor and outdoor environments frequently.
- Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver kegs and other items weighing around 120-150 pounds.
