The Spiciest Showdown on This Side of the Bayou
From the brewery that brought you Queso Bowl, Eureka Heights is bringing back another friendly food competition. This time, salsa and micheladas are taking over the taproom.

Where: Eureka Heights Brew Co., 941 West 18th Street, Houston, TX 77008
When: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Event Time: 12 PM to 3 PM
Competitor Setup: 11 AM to 11:45 AM
Judging: 2 PM

Bring the salsa recipe your friends keep asking for, the michelada mix you swear is better than everyone else’s, and a team name that your group chat finally agreed on.

Not Participating in the Competition?
You don’t have to enter the competition to get in on the fun. Guests can taste salsa, sample michelada mixes, vote for their favorites, enjoy Buckle Bunny micheladas, and hang out with music from IceHouse Radio.
We are also adding chancla throwing to the lineup!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do guests get to vote, or is judging handled only by Eureka Heights?
Guests will get to vote for the Popular Vote winner, and there will also be a Chef’s Choice award. So yes, the crowd matters. Win them over.
Can competitors bring extra chips, bread, or other tasting sides?
Yes. We’ll provide standard tortilla chips for guests, but salsa competitors are welcome to bring their own chips, bread, or other tasting sides.
